LEARA Meets Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Luna's Restaurant 5198 Pearl Road near Brookpark

John T. Perone, W8RXX presents
An Overview of the
Official Observer Program
in the Ohio Section ARRL

On April 24th at Luna's, LEARA will be welcoming John Perone, W8RXX, who will be coming to us from Galena, Ohio, just north of Columbus, as our guest speaker.  He is the Official Observer Coordinator for the Ohio Section ARRL, overseeing the work of about 20 observers in our State.

"My mission is to dispel a myth..." John said, the misconception prevailing among hams that OO's are the bad guys out to bust us for violations. "We are really there to help."

John will be joined by his wife, Laura, KA8IWB, who happens to be the newly re-elected president of the Central Ohio Radio Club.  They visited the Headquarters in Newington during the ARRL's 100th anniversary.  After his main presentation, he plans to briefly provide some "bonus comments" about the experience.  Don't miss this one!

The April 24, 2018 LEARA meeting will be at Luna's Restaurant, 5198 Pearl Road Cleveland, Ohio 44129. As usual, dinner will begin at 6:30 pm followed by the club meeting. The cost will be $20 per person. Advance reservations, along with your entrée selections, are required.  Reservations may be made on the club website at http://www.leara.org or by calling Marv Grossman (W8AZO) at 440-248-0031.

Entrée options are:
Roast Beef, Lemon Pepper Chicken, and Boston Scrod.
Entrées are served with a choice of potato and vegetable.
Soup or salad, dinner rolls, water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are included.
Dessert items can be purchased separately.
Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs or concerns.
Reservations must be submitted by Sunday, April 22nd. We hope to see you there!
