The Lake Erie Amateur Radio Association maintains open repeaters that use the club's call signs, WR8ABC and WB8CQR.  LEARA owns and operates 5 repeaters in the Greater Cleveland area, 3 on the Westside in Lakewood, Ohio and 2 on the Eastside -- Highland Hills, Ohio and Macedonia, Ohio.

All of our repeaters are open to all properly licensed Amateur Radio operators.  We ask those who make regular use of our repeaters, IRLP, or packet nodes to consider joining the club.

2 Meter - 146.760:

The "76 repeater" operates on an output frequency of 146.760 MHz with an input frequency of 146.160 (-600 KHz).  The call sign is WR8ABC.  The transmitter is located in Highland Hills, Ohio.  There are remote inputs in Lakewood, Newbury, and Willoughby for a total of 4 inputs.  All receivers require a PL of 110.9 Hz to activate.  The repeater broadcasts a PL of 110.9 Hz for PL squelch when there is a carrier on the input.

2 Meter - 146.880:

The "88 repeater" operates on an output frequency of 146.880 MHz with an input frequency of 146.280 (-600 KHz).  The call sign is WR8ABC.  The repeater is located in Lakewood, Ohio.  The repeater requires a PL of 110.9 Hz to activate the receiver.  The repeater broadcasts a PL of 110.9 Hz for PL squelch.

220 (1.25 Meters) -  224.900:

Our 220 repeater operates on an output frequency of 224.900 MHz with an input frequency of 223.300 (-1.600 MHz).  The call sign is WB8CQR.  The repeater is located in Lakewood, Ohio.  The repeater requires a PL of 141.3 Hz to activate the receiver.

440 (70 Centimeters) - 444.400:

The east 440 repeater operates on an output frequency of 444.400 MHz with an input frequency of 449.400 (+5.000 MHz).  The call sign is WR8ABC.  The repeater is located in Macedonia, Ohio.  The repeater requires a PL of 131.8 Hz to activate the receiver.  The repeater broadcasts a PL of 131.8 Hz for PL squelch.

440 (70 Centimeters) - 444.700:

The west 440 repeater operates on an output frequency of 444.700 MHz with an input frequency of 449.700 (+5.000 MHz).  The call sign is WR8ABC.  The repeater is located in Lakewood, Ohio.  The repeater requires a PL of 131.8 Hz to activate the receiver.  The repeater broadcasts a PL of 131.8 Hz for PL squelch.

Autopatch:

Our repeaters no longer have autopatch capability enabled for general use.

Packet:

Packet nodes are located in Newbury, Ohio.  The 145.010 packet node (alias CLE1) is a high profile station intended to operate primarily in inter-area service.  It is co-located with 145.050 (CLE5) and 223.700 (CLE220) nodes interconnected with NET/ROM TNCs in support of statewide packet communications and the National Traffic System.
