The restaurant LEARA has used for its dinner meetings went out-of-business 1/9. We are currently looking for suggestions for dinner locations and/or temporary locations. Please contact Alex - WD8JMM with location suggestions.
At the January LEARA meeting, a motion was made to modify the organization's bylaws. This is the result of almost a year's worth of effort by the LEARA Bylaws Committee appointed in late 2010 consisting of: Mike Cegelski (K8EHP), Bryan Torok (N8OOF), and Jeff Garvas (N8YNR).
Please review these documents between now and the next meeting which will be held on February 28th at a location to be determined. One is a four page document consisting of all of the changes proposed by the committee. The second document is a PDF version of the power point presentation made before the membership at the January meeting.
If you can not open either of these files and you would like to be mailed a copy, contact Jeff Garvas - N8YNR. These amendments are substantial and we want to make sure the membership has every opportunity to read them and ask questions of the committee or members of the Board of Trustees. The membership will vote on these amendments at the February meeting and we would appreciate your support of the motion.
Moving forward, the Board of Trustees added Bill Schultz (AC8CO) to the Committee. They will continue to address additional concerns that have been raised about the document that defines how the organization operates.
