Come to Field Day 2016
At Cleveland Metropark Lakefront!
Take MLK north and up the hill

DIRECTIONS: (Talk in on 146.88/R)
Take I-90 east or west to Martin Luther King Blvd (exit 177).
Head north toward the lake. (Be careful to observe right-of-way.)
Then follow the road east and up the hill.
At the Lakefront Reservation sign, go left into the parking lot.
Interested guests welcome - enjoy radio at the lake!

NO restaurant meeting this month...

Yes, it's Field Day - A special time of the year each June for any licensed amateur operator to "do radio" and for all you secret wanna-bees to find out what the fun is about! It's YOUR chance, even without a license, to get on the air with the full support of a licensed control operator at your elbow. We'll operate as WB8CQR.

The schedule is listed below, and directions are above. Call in during the day Saturday through the Lakewood '88 repeater, or come out and help any time. If you can help or have questions, contact Eric Jessen, N8AUC, at 440-734-3146.

Dinner will be picnic fare. Eric says, "I have heard rumors from the 'mom of Field Day' that dinner will consist of barbecued pulled pork or barbecued pulled chicken sandwiches, with cole slaw and potato salad, then sliced watermelon for dessert." If anyone wants to bring a dish to share, that would be good, too. If you have a special non-alcoholic beverage you like feel free to bring it, along with your favorite lawn chair.

So far we're at 2A. Looking for more people who want to camp out all night and play radio. It would be nice to be 3A or even 4A. Always in need of folks to help setup on Saturday morning (setup starts around 9AM) and to tear down on Sunday afternoon.

See you then, and especially at the 6pm club meeting on-site Saturday, June 25!
